Default How to accelerate your cognition

Quote:
How would you like your brain to work faster? Say, a more efficient working memory, greater verbal fluency and improved visuo-spatial processing?

Just make sure your brain got enough rest. Haven't you noticed that when you first wake up after sleeping, you seem to think faster?

This all comes down to how much energy you have.

Ideally I think we need to find ways to getting our brains to run efficiently as possible in daily situations without having the need to take too much rests. For instance, I've noticed that engaging in more activity daily will set you up and get you used to a hectic lifestyle. Maybe if we put ourselves in a situation where brains are in constant use the efficiency may remain constant than compared with someone who used thier brain properly about 4 years ago

I think its true that we need to engage the mind all the time. One of the experiments that revealed that brain games don't work properly had a major flaw - the participants where doing these games every now and again. If we engage with such games and train and exercise our cognition on a daily basis for at least an hour, I can't believe that it won't have a difference after a few months or so.
