Default I have a psych project, but don't know where to begin...

The assignment etails Critical Thinking in relation to scientific research on the topic of Humor. We will be looking at how humor is used to determine development and possible diagnosis. Then we will be looking at the various ways that humor is viewed in our diverse culture. The object is to make a (5-10min) Power Point with no more than 5 slides. Rquireing 3 total references and one must be from a psychological journal. I'm totally stumped and don't fully understand "looking at how humor is used to determine development and possible diagnosis." What's that supposed to mean? Diagnosis of what? The age group of development I was assign was adult. The worst thing is that this presentation is counted as my midterm grade. What ever happened to read the book answer the questions? Any insight or help here would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I'm just going to take a shot in the dark here, but what if you apply 'humor' to teh case of depression?

It could somewhat be used as an indirect diagnosis to assess the state of someone. And in other cases people who don't present humor to a reasonable extent maybe considered sociopathic or whatever else?

Is this what you're expected to do?
